Leonora Hamill is an artist based in Milan and London who works primarily in photography and film.
She received her MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in 2008. Born in Paris in 1978, Leonora trained as an art historian at the Courtauld Institute in London and at the University of Oxford. She graduated from the International Center of Photography in New York in 2003.
Hamill has exhibited in Europe, the US, Australia, Japan and China. She is will be exhibiting images from her photographic series “Art in Progress” in a solo-show at Podbielski Contemporary in Berlin from March 16th to April 29th 2012.
Hamill was the 2011 artist-in-residence at the Psychiatric Hospital of Rouffach in Alsace, France who commissioned her a 48mn triple-screen video installation on the theme of empathy.
